BuiltAfterWork was created for the men and women who build our world—and too often forget to build themselves.

​

For years, I worked in the construction industry. Early mornings. Long days. Physical work that left me exhausted, sore, and reaching for whatever food was fast and convenient. I told myself the job was enough exercise. I told myself I’d “get back in shape” when things slowed down. But they never did.

​

Slowly, my energy dropped. My strength faded. Nagging aches became normal. I watched coworkers deal with the same thing—burned out, run down, and accepting it as “part of the job.” We took safety seriously on site, but when it came to our own health, we pushed it aside.

​

The turning point came when I realized something simple: if safety is non-negotiable at work, why isn’t our health?

​

I stopped chasing complicated fitness plans and unrealistic diets. I built routines that worked after work. Short, effective workouts. Simple, filling meals that could be prepped ahead of time. Principles that respected long hours, physical fatigue, and real life. Over time, my strength came back, my energy improved, and work stopped feeling like it was slowly wearing me down.

BuiltAfterWork exists to share those same tools and principles with the construction industry.

​

Our programs are designed specifically for tradespeople—workout plans that support physical labor instead of competing with it, and nutrition resources that fuel long days without perfection or gimmicks. No fluff. No trends. Just practical systems that work in the real world.

The goal is bigger than fitness. It’s about changing the culture. Just like safety became standard on every job site, health and wellness should be too.
